Merora Terms of Use
Version of 5 October 2026
1. Who we are
The Merora app is operated by Ekodist ARG s.r.o., company ID (IČO) 11677899, VAT ID CZ11677899, registered office Nuselská 143/31, 140 00 Prague 4, Czech Republic, registered in the Commercial Register kept by the Municipal Court in Prague, section C, file 352774 (“we”). Contact: riccardo@merora.app.
These terms govern your use of the Merora app and related services (“Merora”). By creating an account or using Merora, you agree to them. How we handle personal data is described in the Privacy Policy.
2. What Merora does
Merora helps you create reminders based on time and place, also by voice or with a single sentence, and alerts you with a notification or an alarm.
Merora is currently free. If we introduce paid features, they will be purchased through the App Store. You will see the price, length and terms of a subscription before you buy. Payment is processed by Apple, and you manage and cancel subscriptions in your Apple account.
We develop Merora continuously, so its features may change.
3. Your account
- You need an account to use Merora: email, Apple or Google.
- You must be at least 15 years old.
- Your account details must be accurate, and you must keep access to your account safe. You are responsible for what happens in your account.
- You can delete your account at any time in the app: Settings → Delete account. Deletion cannot be undone.
4. Rules of use
You must not:
- use Merora unlawfully or to store unlawful content,
- circumvent its security or interfere with how it works,
- overload it with automated requests or otherwise abuse it,
- decompile, modify or copy its code, except where the law expressly allows it.
If you seriously or repeatedly break these rules, we may restrict or close your account.
5. Your content
Your reminders, places and labels belong to you. We process them only to provide Merora to you.
6. Reliability of reminders
We do our best to make reminders go off on time, but we cannot guarantee it. It also depends on your phone and iOS, for example on:
- whether notifications, alarms and location access are allowed,
- Focus and Low Power modes, battery level and internet connection,
- location accuracy: places are monitored with a tolerance, and iPhone reports arrivals and departures with some delay.
For things where a missed reminder could cause serious harm, such as taking medication, do not rely on Merora alone.
7. AI sentence parsing
Sentences you dictate or type are parsed by a language model. It can get the text, time or place wrong, so please check the reminder it creates.
8. Availability
Merora is provided as is. It may occasionally be unavailable, for example because of maintenance or outages of the services it relies on.
9. Liability
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for damage caused by a missed or incorrect reminder, by Merora being unavailable, or by loss of data. This does not apply to damage caused intentionally or through gross negligence, to harm to health, or to other cases where liability cannot be excluded. Your statutory rights as a consumer are not affected.
10. Termination
You can stop using Merora and delete your account at any time. If we shut Merora down, we will let you know well in advance.
11. App Store terms
If you obtained Merora from the App Store, the following also applies:
- These terms are concluded between you and us, not with Apple. We, not Apple, are responsible for Merora and its content.
- You receive a non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use Merora on Apple-branded products that you own or control, as permitted by the Usage Rules in the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions.
- We provide support and maintenance. Apple has no obligation to provide any support for Merora.
- If Merora fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price, if any. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation with respect to Merora.
- We, not Apple, are responsible for addressing any claims relating to Merora, such as product liability, legal or regulatory compliance, or consumer protection claims.
- If a third party claims that Merora infringes its intellectual property rights, we, not Apple, are responsible for the investigation, defence, settlement and discharge of that claim.
- You represent that you are not located in a country subject to a US Government embargo or designated by the US Government as a “terrorist supporting” country, and that you are not listed on any US Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
- When using Merora, you must comply with applicable third-party terms, such as those of your mobile carrier.
- Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.
12. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by Czech law. If you are a consumer living in another EU country, you keep the protection given to you by the mandatory laws of your country.
Consumer disputes can also be resolved out of court through the Czech Trade Inspection Authority (Česká obchodní inspekce, www.coi.cz).
13. Changes to these terms
We may change these terms, for example when we add new features. We will let you know about significant changes in advance in the app or by email. If you do not agree with a change, you can delete your account.
If any provision is found invalid, the remaining provisions stay in effect.
